PSYCHOMOTRICITY SETTING Setting implies creating a similar environment
every time we work with children. This setting includes: IN PSYCHOMOTRICITY CLASSES:Time. Psychomotricity sessions will be held once a week; for 45 minutes · Physical Space. Always the same place; large and comfortable. · Material. It is mainly characterized for being neutral, multiform, suitable for all ages and has not been chosen to suggest pre- established usage models: mattresses, big and small balls, ropes, hoops, cushions. · Rules. Every time we start working we remember the three rules: we can play but we do not hurt a friend, we do not destroy and we take care of the material. At each session the setting is
organized into three spaces: ·
THE SENSORY MOTOR SPACE; where
children will mainly live the motor and emotional aspects. ·
THE SYMBOLIC GAME SPACE; where
make- believe through motor expression is promoted ·
THE AFFECTIVE DISTANCING SPACE; where children are expected to paint and construct to foster
mental representations |
