·        Understand meaning comes from print.

·        Listen to reading selections and recall details.

·        Demonstrate comprehension by retelling.

·        Follow a set of verbal directions to complete a task.

·        Begin to hear differences between rhyming sounds.

·        Discuss main ideas from the different language themes.

·        Widen and improve sentence structure.

 Math

             

·        Begin to recognize and create simple patterns.

·        Count by 1’s up to 10.

·        Identify shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, heart, star, oval).

·        Build groups or sets that have more than, less than and equivalent quantities.

·        Begin to use and understand sequential terms.

·        Sort and classify concrete objects by one attribute.

·        Use estimation related words to describe quantity.

·        Make direct comparisons of objects relative to length or weight.

·        Identify sizes

·        Seriate objects in ascending and descending order

 

 

Social Studies  

 

·        Give and identifies full name and surname.

·        Acknowledge their feelings and those of others.

·        Identify and name different family members.

·        Understand current differences in methods of travel.

·        Identify some safety rules.

 

 

Science    

 

·        Identify parts of the body.

·        Incorporate healthy daily habits.

·        Identify colors.

·        Observe and describe characteristics of weather and seasons, using specific vocabulary.

·        Make observations and predict outcomes.

·        Make simple comparisons.

·        Name the five senses and know their functions.

·        Understand the concept of growth.

·        State the opposite properties of some objects.
