We had an exciting first day of the SAAC basketball tournament including Opening Ceremonies and two games each for our boys and girls.
Both teams played Nido de Aguilas and American School of Quito.
Our UAS girls lost both games but by the end of the second game against Quito, were playing very evenly against their opponents and drew up within 6 points before losing by 10. Every girl on the team had a chance to play today.
Our UAS boys won both games, decisively, against Nido and Quito, which allowed the 9th and 10th graders on the team to have a lot of playing time. Every UAS boy scored points today.
Tomorrow, both teams will face FDR Peru in the morning and our cross river rival, The Lincoln School in the afternoon.
Tonight, your students have gone home with their host families for a quiet evening at home.
