The Uruguayan American School is registered as a non-profit academic institution in Montevideo, Uruguay. We work closely with the Association of American Schools in South America (AASSA), the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), the U.S. State Department and the Uruguayan Ministry of Education to provide excellent educational opportunities for international and local families. |

U.A.S. is governed by an active Board of Directors consisting of 9 members who volunteer their time and efforts to help improve our school. The main role of the board is to establish school policies concerning the overall operations of the school. Each member serves a three year term and can be re-elected for a consecutive term. We encourage active involvement from all sectors of our community.
