On 9th of September a group of students of UAS had the privilege to visit ALADI (The Latino American Integration Association). We were very well welcomed by the appointed personnel of the ALADI. On this visit we learned a lot about this organization and its fundamental roll in the economic development of the integrated nations. The ALADI represents on total 20.4 million km2 and more than 492 million people, and is made up of: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. This organization promotes the integration of the region and looking to the establishment of comity a common Markey as its final objective. Montevideo was the city chosen to be the Headquarters. On arriving at the headquarters, we found ourselves within a very nice structure and an extravagant room where the Comity of Representatives and ambassadors of many of the countries that participate in the reunion as observing countries. This room counts on very good technology to help communicate with the representatives. We had the privilege of trying the intercommunication microphones and impression projectors. In the same room we had the honor of sitting in the seats that the representatives of the countries and the General Secretary used. They also offered us a great presentation about the organization, its beginning, the countries that are integrated in it, the mechanics of integrating into this organization and the explanation about its functions. After a very thorough presentation our guide from ALADI invited us to visit their library and then for some soft drinks. In the grand library they had books about government and economics in Spanish and Portuguese. This field trip came out to be one of the best the school has taken as a group in the Spanish division.
