Welcome back to the second semester! I am very excited to be part of the Uruguayan American School community. My name is Gustavo Lacuesta., and I joined this team after having worked at the Scuola Italiana di Montevideo and the Alianza Uruguay E.E.U.U. for 11 years. My instructional experience goes from teaching first, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade, to teaching teenagers and adults.

I believe that children should develop their learning and communication skills; therefore, I promote team work activities, in which students not only can learn how to interact with other children, but also demonstrate their strengths by engaging in cooperative activities. During these tasks we promote mutual respect. They can achieve their goals by working in an ordered and disciplined environmnt which has clear and fair rules for everyone.

UAS is a great learning and cultural environment for your children. I sincerely believe that parents and school need to work together in order to reach each child’s fullest potential.
