Welcome to the High School section. Here you will find information regarding the UAS community: our programs, events, activities and organizations.

One of the most exciting opportunites at UAS for local and international students is the ability to pursue a fully-accredited, integrated degree that prepares you to pursue tertiary studies either in Uruguay, the United States or many other countries worldwide.

Our high school program is based on the U.S. educational model in terms of course selection, calendar and sequence. Beyond this core curriculum, we offer an integrated Uruguayan program plus a series of electives that students can select depending upon their personal preferences and future study plans.

Admission to the finest universities is becoming increasingly competitive, with some colleges recommending that students graduate with at least 26 credits including the most challenging AP and Honors-level courses available. Our requirements for graduation are studied continuously to insure that our students are prepared to excel wherever they choose to study.

Integration Program  (Español)

A few years ago, the United States and Uruguayan governments signed an educational agreement in which all graduates with a UAS diploma may continue their higher education in Uruguay. Courses in English correspond to the American Program and satisfy the requirements for students wishing to attend universities in the United States. The Integration Program includes all courses required for the U.S. diploma plus the following required courses:

 -  Spanish Language and Literature

 -  National History and Countries of Mercosur

 -  Uruguayan Civics

With our Integrated Program, UAS students have the unique opportunity to choose their academic orientation when they finish high school. Upon completion of this Program, students are qualified to pursue a university career either in United States, Uruguay or in many other countries.
