We currently have students representing around 30 countries and 5 continents. Approximately 40% of our student body is from the host country. North & South American, Asian & European students account for most of the balance. Africa and Australasia are also represented on our campus.

English is the main classroom language throughout the UAS academic curriculum. Uruguayan program classes are conducted in Spanish.

Portuguese and French language electives are available.

Many of our international students are also fluent in their native and other languages.

UAS utilizes the U.S.Grading Scale with standard 1-point weighting for advanced AP coursework.

A 90-100%    B 80-89%    C 70-79%    D 60-69%     F <60%

GPA Calc:  A-4   B-3   C-2   D-1   F-0    (AP +1)

Graduates from UAS historically study at some of the finest universities worldwide. Recent classes continue this tradition with students pursuing their tertiary studies at Stanford, McGill, Harvard, Penn, Yale, Georgetown, New Brunswick, Berea, UM,  Hendrix College,  UNLV and other excellent institutions. Our students often receive scholarships for academic and/or athletic merit.
