School Hours Nursery & Pre-Kinder 9:30am - 3:30pm Kindergarten - Grade 12 8:00am - 3:30pm UAS stresses punctuality and regular attendance. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. Arriving late is disruptive to the students and the classroom-learning environment. Elementary students should not be on school grounds after school hours unless with an adult. If there is an emergency and you cannot make it to school by dismissal time, please let the school receptionist know. Secondary students should not be on school grounds after 3:30 p.m. unless they are involved in extra-curricular activities.	International Day is June 2nd ! Early Dismissal Occasionally, it is necessary for a child to leave school before the end of the day. In these cases, the child must bring a written/signed note from his/her mother or father authorizing the dismissal. Parents who come to pick up their children without prior notification must sign a note at that time authorizing their dismissal. TELEPHONE CALLS CANNOT REPLACE THIS NOTE

Parent Visits Parents who wish to have a conference with a teacher should contact the secretary or send a note to the teacher involved. Parent(s) must check-in at the reception desk in order to obtain authorization to speak to a faculty / staff member.

School Buses Bus service is not provided by the Uruguayan American School. However, bus service can be contracted between a driver and the parents. We recommend that parents contract the services of a firm that has previously established service to and from the UAS premises. Call 600.76.81 for current information.

Extracurricular Activities Many extracurricular events are available to UAS students, including classes in gymnastics, fencing, self-defense, fine art, Boy Cubs & Scouts, Girl Guides and recreational sports.
