This listing is provided as a helpful resource for students so that you may commence the search, and eventual discovery, of an institution that fulfills your requirements based on personal factors such as intended course of study, region, costs and unique extracurricular opportunities. The Uruguayan American School does not officially endorse these nor any other North American universities and colleges.
While this is a current list of the top-ranked universities in the United States based on extensive evaluations by the highly-respected U.S. News & World Report for their annual College Guide, it is by no means all-inclusive. Nor should you imply that a college is inferior due to its absence from this list. There are hundreds of excellent private and public North American institutions from which to choose. This is a listing primarily of nationally-recognized universities. The publication produces similar lists for Bachelor's-oriented liberal arts colleges and regional institutions that excel in specific areas of undergraduate study. Many of them might offer you an opportunity that relates much closer to your expectations than someone else's Top 50.
Remember, it's YOUR education. The first step is an accurate self-evaluation. It helps to know who you really are and what you expect to achieve at the university level. And don't forget to familiarize youself with the universities that are rated highly in YOUR intended area of study. Even the best colleges are much better in some areas than they are in others.
If you have any
questions or concerns, please arrange to discuss your options early and
often with college counselor,
Trudy Harder. Many members of the UAS
faculty also have experience with a variety of North American academic institutions and will gladly share their experiences with you. Good luck!!
